I do miss living somewhere with a balcony. I lived in Roanoke, VA, for a time, and had a couch on my balcony, which was perfect for naps and watching storms roll in.

Yes. No matter how small, a balcony increases one's sense of space exponentially. I'd feel very closed in without it.

Thanks, Melissa. It is a great place and really extends the feel of the living room out into the trees. The flowers on the right are called wave petunias; the ones in the small pot are pink geraniums. Both bloomed all summer long.
